Einer der schwierigsten Aufgaben im Leben ist es, sein Leben zu ändern. Aus Mustern auszubrechen, einzugestehen, das wie man Lebt nicht gut ist, weil man halt nicht mehr wirklich Lebt, sondern nur leben lässt. Genau da beginnt die Aufgabe von the hard work of taking ownership. Und obwohl das neue Album Left Hand von Becca Mancari so leicht und eingängig scheint, geht es genau um diese Themen.
In many cultures children born with a dominant left hand were taught not to use that hand, and were told that using the right hand was ‘normal’ and ‘correct.’ Similarly, queer children are often times told that it’s not ‘normal’ for them to love who they love and that they need to ‘change.’
Nicht nur eine Anerkennung, viel mehr eine Hervorhebung der linken Hand. Wie auch im Song Eternity:
