Jay aka the caral beaux war nämlich ab Ende 2023 in einer online Fernbeziehung / Situationship und wurde so obsessed mit einem Europäer (dem Mysteryboy S), dass er zur Verarbeitung, als diese Beziehung auseinander ging, sein Debut-Album darüber schrieb. S hat Jay sehr geholfen beim Umgang mit einer psychischen Krankheit und hat ihm den Blick geöffnet fürs Leben und die Freude am Leben zurückgegeben.
Jay schreibt auf Bandcamp:
«there are some people who, even if they were only directly in your life for a short period of time, completely change the way you interact with the world.»
In you too when you get there geht es also um Obsession, um Fernbeziehungen, um Danke zu sagen, ums Verzweifelt sein, darum, dass the clara beaux sich fragt, ob er einen ebenso starken Einfluss auf S hatte, oder ob nur er obsessed war, und egal ob jemand mit einer psychischen Krankheit leben muss oder nicht – diese Gefühle kennen wir doch alle?
